facilities. It can also include the time related positioning of organizational resources. A large portion of
this discipline is Supply Chain Management, which plans, implements and controls the efficient and
effective bi-directional (forward and backward) flow and storage of goods, services, and related
information between point of origin and point of consumption in support of customer requirements.
